Eligibility requirements:
The following qualifications must be met to qualify for the FAO Young Talent Internship Program:
- Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 30.
- Education: Candidates must be enrolled in or have just finished a graduate or post-graduate degree program in a subject area related to the activities of the FAO (for example, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, economics, rural development, environmental studies).
- Language ability: Candidates must be proficient in at least one of the FAO’s working languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian), preferably two or more.
- Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of FAO member nations.
- Professional experience: Although it’s not necessary, those with relevant professional experience could be given preference.
- Availability: Selected candidates must be able to complete their internship in Rome or at one of the other FAO locations.
- Candidates should be able to work well in a multicultural setting and possess good analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Prior to the start of the internship assignment, candidates should have the proper residency or immigration status in the country of assignment.
